Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “your”) and Pooches and Paws Pet First Aid (“we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales and registered office at 5 Gunners Rise, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS3 9BY.

They govern your access to and use of Pooches and Paws Pet First Aid (the “Site”), including purchases of pet first aid courses (online and in-person), first aid kits, blog content, comments, reviews, user accounts, and email communications.

By accessing the Site, creating an account, making a purchase, or posting content, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

2. The Services and Products We provide:

  • In-person pet first aid courses delivered by our qualified Pooches and Paws instructors, which are associated with and accredited by ProTrainings.

  • Online pet first aid courses hosted and delivered via the ProTrainings platform.

  • Physical first aid kits and related products.

  • A blog where registered users can leave comments and reviews.​

All products and courses are sold to consumers in the United Kingdom unless otherwise stated.

3. User Accounts

To purchase courses or access certain features (such as leaving comments or reviews), you must create an account on our Site. When you sign up for any pet first aid course (online or in-person), you will also be required to create an account on the ProTrainings platform. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, complete information.

You are responsible for keeping your login details (for both our Site and ProTrainings) confidential and for all activity under your accounts. We may suspend or terminate your account on our Site if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Site (including product descriptions, blog posts, images, and designs) is owned by us or licensed to us and protected by UK copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Course materials (online and in-person) are owned by ProTrainings or its licensors and are subject to their separate terms of use and licence agreements.

5. Purchases and Payments

All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless stated otherwise. We accept payment via apple pay, google pay, cash, credit/debit cards.

By placing an order you confirm you are buying as a consumer and that the payment information you provide is accurate. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.

6. Delivery and Shipping (Physical First Aid Kits)

We aim to dispatch physical products within 3-5 Working Days. Delivery times are estimates only. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

Title to the goods remains with us until full payment is received.

7. Pet First Aid Courses (Online and In-Person)

All our pet first aid courses (both online and in-person) are accredited by ProTrainings.

7.1 In-Person Courses

In-person courses are delivered by our own qualified Pooches and Paws Pet First Aid instructors at specified venues or locations. When you book an in-person course on our Site:

  • You will be required to create (or use) an account on the ProTrainings platform.

  • Your attendance, assessment (if applicable), and certification are managed through ProTrainings.

  • Course dates, venues, and any specific requirements (e.g. minimum age, pre-course preparation) will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient numbers, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases we will offer you an alternative date or a full refund.

7.2 Online Courses

Online courses are hosted and delivered directly by the ProTrainings platform. Upon purchase you will receive access instructions and will need to log in or create an account on ProTrainings to access the materials, videos, assessments, and certificate.

The course content, technical delivery, and support are provided by ProTrainings under their own terms of use, licence agreement, and policies. We act as the seller of the course place.

7.3 General Course Terms

By purchasing any course (online or in-person) you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You must comply with ProTrainings’ terms and conditions, acceptable use policy, and licence restrictions when accessing course materials or attending training.

  • Certificates are issued by ProTrainings (usually valid for 3 years).

  • Sharing login details or distributing course materials is strictly prohibited and may result in loss of access and breach of these Terms.

  • We are not responsible for the ProTrainings platform’s availability, technical issues, or the accuracy of course content, but we will use reasonable efforts to assist with booking and purchase-related queries.

8. Cancellations, Refunds and Returns

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other UK law are not affected by these Terms.

  • Physical first aid kits: You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the day you receive the goods to cancel for any reason. You must return the items at your cost in unused, resalable condition. We will refund the price plus standard delivery costs once we receive the returned goods.

  • In-person courses: If the course is due to start within 7 days and you wish to cancel, we will refund you in full. Cancellations made between 6 days and 72 hours notice before the course start date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations after this time are non refundable. If you need to reschedule your booking, you must select a new date and time within 3 months of your original booking date. Rescheduling to a date more than 3 months from the original booking date is not automatically permitted and will be considered at our sole discretion. We may approve such requests based on availability, but there is no guarantee of approval. If we are unable to accommodate a request beyond the 3-month window, the original booking will be subject to our standard cancellation policy.

  • Online courses via ProTrainings: Because this is digital content, the 14-day cooling-off right is waived once you begin accessing the course on the ProTrainings platform. By proceeding to access the materials you give explicit consent to immediate supply and accept that you will lose the right to cancel and obtain a refund from us. Refunds for online courses will only be considered in exceptional circumstances (e.g. technical failure on our side preventing access and no alternative provided).

For faulty, misdescribed, or non-compliant courses or products, you have additional rights under UK consumer law. Please contact us promptly.

9. User-Generated Content (Comments and Reviews)

The Site allows registered users to post comments on the blog and leave product or course reviews (“Contributions”).

By posting you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display your Contribution. You warrant that your Contributions are accurate, your own work (or you have rights to them), and do not contain defamatory, offensive, or infringing material. We may moderate or remove any Contribution at our discretion.

10. Email Communications and Marketing

By creating an account or opting in, you may receive emails from us about your orders, account, and (if you expressly opt in) marketing updates about our products and courses.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or contacting us. We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

11. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Provide false information when booking courses.

  • Share ProTrainings login details or course materials.

  • Post fake or misleading reviews.

  • Attempt to circumvent any access controls on our Site or the ProTrainings platform.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your data (including passing limited details to ProTrainings for course enrolment and certification). It forms part of these Terms.

13. Site Management and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or any account at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other reasonable reason.

14. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, or for loss of profit, data, or business interruption arising from your use of the Site or our products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your Contributions, or your use of the Site.

16. Modifications to the Terms or Site

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes (e.g. by email or a notice on the Site). Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

We may also change or discontinue parts of the Site (including courses or products) with reasonable notice where possible.

 

 

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You and we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to settle any dispute.

18. Miscellaneous

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining parts remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not mean we waive it. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us.
